Norcross Population Demographics

Norcross Georgia is a small town in the close vicinity of Atlanta, the metropolitan area. The last census of Norcross was carried out in 2010 after another census carried out ten years earlier, in 2000. In 2000 the town was the home of about 8,500 individuals but it has grown within 10 years as to accommodate nearly 10,000 people. Thus, one can say that from 2000 to 2010 the population of Norcross increased with nearly 8.5%. The town is also special thanks to its demographics. At the last census about 40% of the Norcross inhabitants were Hispanic, while about 20% were Afro-Americans and other 20% Caucasian. At the same time, there were nearly 14% were Asian and 5% other races.

The age of the inhabitants of Norcross is also recorded in the last census. The census of 2000 revealed that Norcross is the home of actually younger individuals than the average in the US. This might contradict the common belief that youth is usually likely to live in crowded and busy large cities. Yet, the census showed that the average age of 29.6 and about 67% of the Norcross population is represented by families, or otherwise referred to as non-single residences.
