Going Green in Norcross GA

With all of the pollution that is generated in the country as a result of human activity, going green is no easy task in many areas. In Norcross specifically many farmers and industries rely on some form of pollution in order to keep their businesses running. In regards to this, going green is a topic that is on the minds of many in the state of Georgia and nowhere else is this statement more realized than in the city of Norcross GA. The Sustainable Norcross Commission of Norcross has won several awards for it efforts to go green including the green communities silver certification and the city has been nominated for the award for best green government in the state of Georgia. The Sustainable Norcross Commission is a community organization that is only about 2 and ½ years old but though it is a young organization its efforts far surpass many older organizations. The head of the Sustainable Norcross Commission is Connie Weathers and she has done a wonderful job at leading the community in its efforts to go green. The civic league awarded the regional excellence award to Ms. Weathers in recognition of her efforts. These awards are presented to those people and organizations that meet the needs of the community in Norcross Georgia. The whole community is responsible for the award as they banded together in their efforts so Ms. Weathers is not the only one who many a difference though she is the one who initiated the effort.
